Choosing a viewer

Skylight Virtual requires a special type of 3d virtual world browser. There a number of free third-party browsers available for download:

• Firestorm is one of the most popular viewers used by many OpenSimulator users. It provides a very easy to use interface and contains many custom features other viewers may not have including access to SecondLife.
• Singularity is a viewer based on the orginial SecondLife viewer. It contains the latest features while keeping the old look and feel.
• Alchemy is a comprehensive viewer that is being developed by the OpenSimulator community.

Configuration

Add a grid to your viewer by selecting your viewers configuration:

• Firestorm -> Avatar -> Preferences -> OpenSim
• Singularity -> Grid Manager
• Alchemy -> Me -> Preferences -> Grids

Add virtual.skylightcreative.net.au
Click on apply to save changes
Close the window.

Connecting

Enter your avatar name then make sure Skylight Virtual is selected from the dropdown box for Grid. Now connect.
